I attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a major in History and served as a campus tour guide for two years. I count this as my first real estate experience. I interned with local film companies as well as with National Geographic, was a volunteer at a local church on a small island in Alaska for one year, and was an Outward Bound and National Outdoor Leadership School graduate. I worked for Moondance Adventures in its nascent years as a trip leader and staff trainer.
In addition to my History degree, I received a Master's in Education from CU-Boulder where I also earned a teaching license. I have taught in BVSD schools for 15 years and am excited to have my three children enrolled in our district. It is truly top of the line with regard to its curriculum, its funding, and its exceptional faculty. I currently serve on the Board of Directors at Summit Middle School as its secretary and Chair for the School Accountability Committee. I also serve as a Trustee for Thorne Nature Experience, a non-profit that creates joy-filled nature experiences for Pre-K - middle school students. In addition, I served as a Founding Board member of Global Works Community Fund (now Wonderfolk). I've been active in our local church and have served in various leadership roles in the schools where I have taught.
My husband, Henry, and I, along with our three teenagers, try to soak in all that Colorado and the West offers. Our favorite things to do include organizing hut trips for friends, tubing Boulder creek, hosting tailgates during football season, and attempting successful family camping and backpacking trips.
